Help with Funding at Libertas

Funding at Libertas in Marinette
Libertas and Prevea Health received a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services in 2015 to establish an opioid treatment program known as Northeast Wisconsin Opioid Treatment Services. This program is a collaborative effort between Libertas and Prevea Health to help individuals addicted to opioids.

With this service, people with opioid addiction can access abstinence-based treatment or medication-assisted treatment with substance use counseling. Northeast Wisconsin Opioid Treatment Services provides services to people living with an opioid addiction in Florence, Marinette, Menominee and Oconto counties. Services also are available to Wisconsin members of the Menominee Nation.

All patients are welcome; however, priority admission is given to women who are pregnant and using opioid drugs intravenously followed by women who are pregnant and using opioid drugs in other ways. Men and women using opioids intravenously are also given priority admission over men and women using opioid drugs in other ways.

Freedom Fund Scholarship
Through funds provided by the HSHS Resource Development Committee, the Freedom fund scholarship allows Libertas to offer adolescents scholarships for treatment. The Freedom Fund scholarship application is for adolescent inpatients who do not have insurance, do not qualify for Medical Assistance or whose insurance has been denied.  The patient’s stay may be entirely or partially covered.  Medical necessity is determined by a counselors assessment.
